一、传统贴金技法

传统贴金技法制作出的工艺品贴金效果不尽相同，主要在于它们处理底漆所使用胶水的配制不尽相同， 现在常用的胶水主要有水溶胶和牙膏胶这两种。水溶胶比较容易配制和操作，但是贴金效果一般没有牙膏胶的黄金质感好。使用牙膏胶溶剂是直接在贴金对象的表面打胶后贴金不作保护漆，真实地体现黄金的原色，缺点就是不经碰撞，稍微用力刮擦就能把表层的金箔刮掉。以前的工艺也曾在金箔表面涂上清漆加以保护，但是就不能体现黄金的原色了。

高强度贴金技法是在金箔表面涂上高强度保护漆，经常用有高光和亚光两种。采用这种贴金技法生产的工艺品，耐摩擦刮蹭、防酸碱腐蚀的性能和保护周期保护漆的质量有很大关系。保护漆的透明度高低直接影响黄金质感的效果。
